CrossFlowZ: Practicing Ahimsa: Talk and Flow. 18 minutes. Ahimsa is the first of the Yamas in Yoga. There are eight limbs of Yoga: Yama the first, the Niyama the second, and Asana - the most widely know limb of yoga - the third. Yamas are the moral disciplines of Yogic philosophy. Simply put: how to be a "good person". The Yamas are listed in order of importance, and Ahimsa is the first. In this video, I will explain the meaning, and how one might practice it off the mat. Then, we will do a short flow together highlighting how one can practice it ON the mat.
